3-Day Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Safari

Detailed Itinerary: Day 1 – Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park 

Your safari begins with a journey towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in south-western Uganda. As you travel away from the city, the scenery gradually changes to rolling farmland, small towns and the green hills that characterise western Uganda. The final part of the journey takes you deeper into the highlands surrounding Bwindi. On arrival, check in at your accommodation and spend the evening relaxing and preparing for the following day’s gorilla trekking adventure. Overnight: Bwindi region 

Day 2 – Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

 After an early breakfast, head to the park briefing point where rangers will introduce you to the trekking experience and explain the guidelines for visiting the gorillas. You will then enter the forest with an experienced ranger and tracker team. The walk takes you through thick vegetation, forest trails and beautiful mountain scenery as you follow signs of your assigned gorilla family. When the gorillas are located, spend time quietly observing them in their natural environment. You may see young gorillas playing, adults feeding among the vegetation or a silverback calmly watching over the family. After the trek, return to your accommodation to rest and enjoy a relaxed evening in the Bwindi highlands. Overnight: Bwindi region

 Day 3 – Return Journey

 Enjoy breakfast before beginning your return journey from Bwindi. Take in the changing landscapes of south-western Uganda as you travel towards Kampala, Entebbe or another agreed destination. Your arrival marks the end of your 3-Day Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Safari, leaving you with memories of one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife encounters
