Detailed itinerary
Day 1 – Lake Mburo National Park
Begin your safari with a journey to Lake Mburo National Park, one of Uganda’s most accessible savannah parks. On arrival, explore the park and enjoy your first wildlife experience among rolling hills, acacia woodland and open grassland. Look out for zebras, impalas, buffaloes, warthogs and other animals commonly seen in the park. Spend the evening surrounded by the peaceful landscapes of Lake Mburo. Overnight: Lake Mburo National Park region
Day 2 – Lake Mburo to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, enjoy more of Lake Mburo before continuing towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey through western Uganda offers views of farmland, hills, local communities and changing landscapes before arriving in the Queen Elizabeth region. After checking in, enjoy time to relax or take in the scenery surrounding one of Uganda’s most famous wildlife conservation areas. Overnight: Queen Elizabeth National Park region
Day 3 – Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Experience
Start the day with a game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park. Explore the park’s savannah plains while searching for elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs and, with some luck, predators such as lions. Later, experience the wildlife-rich Kazinga Channel, where large numbers of hippos and water birds can often be seen alongside elephants and buffaloes coming to the water’s edge. Return to your accommodation after a full day of wildlife viewing. Overnight: Queen Elizabeth National Park region
Day 4 – Departure
Enjoy breakfast and, depending on the confirmed schedule, take in the final views of the Queen Elizabeth landscape before beginning your onward journey. Travel through western Uganda as the safari comes to an end, carrying with you memories of two very different national parks and some of Uganda’s most characteristic wildlife.
